A gift to Bendigo Art Gallery is a gift to the people of Bendigo, Victoria and Australia and a way of ensuring that you remain a part of your community now and into the future. Every gift is appreciated and valued by the Gallery and can assist in building a better gallery for the community. Gifts can be made directly to the Gallery, whether they be money or artworks.
Making a bequest
If you are making a Will, or adding a codicil to an existing Will, you can include a straightforward bequest by using the following or similar form of words:
‘I give (insert either portion of Estate, dollar amount or residue of my estate or details of a particular art work) to Bendigo Art Gallery, View Street, Bendigo at the absolute and unfettered discretion of Bendigo Art Gallery.’
Donations and bequests to the Gallery may be used in a number of areas including acquisitions, research and education.
While gifts made for the general purpose of the Gallery are of most value, we would be very happy to discuss bequests or donations for a specific purpose. Please advise the Gallery of any intended bequest — we would rather thank you than your executor.
