Thinking about: Shadowlife 24 May


There are three workshops per day. When booking, advise Education Officer of which workshop you wish to attend (10am, 11.30am or 1.30pm workshop)FREE entry and workshop for government school students Years 9-12‘Thinking about: Shadowlife’ is an exhibition visit and interactive activity promoting deep thinking and discussion of artworks. Students will learn about artworks by nine internationally renowned contemporary Australian Aboriginal artists engaged in photo-based practices from the exhibition Shadowlife, showing at Bendigo Art Gallery. In addition to engaging with the exhibition, each group will receive two complimentary copies of the Shadowlife catalogue.Shadowlife brings together an outstanding collection of contemporary indigenous photography, moving image and installation. Shadowlife’s artists employ the directness and theatricality of film and photo to address stereotypes and act out scenarios.This Education Week event is presented by Bendigo Art Gallery in partnership with the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
