| Post Office Gallery, Bendigo’s exciting new social history gallery is scheduled to open this November.
Located in the former post office building on Pall Mall, Post Office Gallery will provide the residents of the City of Greater Bendigo and its many visitors with a vital focal point for its long and proud history, the myriad facets of our region’s past and present, through an annual exhibition program.
Post Office Gallery is an initiative of the City of Greater Bendigo facilitated by Bendigo Art Gallery to showcase city history and collections. It will operate seven days a week.

| The inaugural exhibition Naming Bendigo: the evolution of a city's identity 1836-1891, will be the first exhibition launched at the new gallery, and will open to the public on Friday 12 November. It will highlight and explore the first 55 years of settlement in Bendigo, using the various name changes for the area from 1836 to 1891 as the thread that ties the events of these decades together.
Exhibition dates: 12 November 2010 - 14 March 2011
