This exhibition presents a selection of recent work by Mark Galea, including sculptures that build upon his fascination with colour and the form of the grid. Galea brings elements of nostalgia, memory and play into the gallery, with rectangular forms that command the space with their exacting construction and carefully stained wooden surfaces. The exhibition provides an excellent opportunity to consider the works by Galea in the permanent collection in the greater context of the artist’s practice.
