Throughout the last decade Bendigo Art Gallery has been steadily strengthening its collection of contemporary Australian ceramics. This acquisition focus has primarily been made possible through the generosity of Rod Fyffe. During the last five years Mr Fyffe has donated more than 40 ceramics, as well as other works of art including, prints, drawings and sculptures.
This exhibition includes a selection of contemporary ceramics gifted by Mr Fyffe over this period. Included in the display will be the work of renowned ceramicists such as John Dermer, Victor Greenaway, Neville French and Peter Rushforth, alongside innovative pieces by upcoming Australian artists.
